Networking

To achieve this, communication (the "networking" bit) of work and information exchange is passed between them: It's a bit like delegation, except it isn't in a formal work environment, it's a two-way give-and-take thing, and the project management is decentralised, instead of requiring an overall manager. There's a decentralised tracking database, which every team member can log into, so we know where we are in the meantime.

Wider networking outside the team will also go on. This essentially means such activities as sticking my nose into other people's business, research to clarify the what-ifs in the RISC OS Community, renting out duplicated projects to other organisations, and going round the country exposing myself in the name of PR.

Finding team members will also be necessary in the early stages. Currently we have quick friendships with very knowledgeable folk that we can't afford to pay, three or four people hanging around the office with nothing better to do, that are not going to be much use for some time, and a resource for finding more people by asking all our friends, begging on the street, and asking around RISC OS user groups.

So far I have poked my nose into WAUG, for networking advice and support, the BCS, for their support of RISC OS (they do), and Drobe, for this subdomain.
